On March 20 (local time),Prof. Dong Jingbo, Chinese Co-Director of the CI at UB, and Prof. LuminitaBalan, Romanian Co-Director of the CI at UB,together with volunteer teachers, brought abundant Chinesecultural events to No. 49 Middle School. They introduced Chinese culture, presentedcalligraphy, played puzzle games and taught the students to write numbers inChinese. These events left many students keenly interested in the Chineselanguage as well as the Chinese culture.
Children represent not only the future of China-Romania friendship,but also an important way to promote the Chinese language. As always, the CI atUB has attached great importance to Chinese language teaching in local primaryand middle schools. In addition, colorful Chinese cultural events have beenorganized by the CI at UB to let local children know the charm and richness ofChinese culture. In this event, more children got to know China and many ofthem were very fond of the Chinese language and culture. With strengtheningties between the CI at UB and local schools in Romania, there will be deepercooperation and the Chinese language will become one of the most popularlanguages among local children.
