On May 8, 2016 (local time),the Confucius Institute at the University of Bucharest (CI at UB) was invited to attend an activity themed “Opportunity Weekend." The event was hosted by Impact Hub Bucharest. This event aroused many students’ interest in the Chinese language. At the event, CI at UB introduced its programs and its active role inpromoting the learning of Chinese language overseas.
Project “Opportunity Weekend” targeted outstanding Romanian high school students. The project provided students with both academic and practical opportunities covering: language,culture, dancing, arts, public services and so on. The show booth of the CI at UB attracted much attention with excited and enthusiastic crowds. Teachers of the CI at UB introduced the courses, the highlights and advantages of the Chinese language, and the prospects of learning Chinese to local participants.
