On February 7 of 2016 (the Eve of Chinese Lunar New Year, Romania local time), the Confucius Institute at the University of Bucharest (CI at UB) rolled out the red carpet for their “celebrity guests”, Mr. Li Yugang, the national first-class performer and singer of China National Opera & Dance Drama Theater, and Mr. Yu Xiaoguang, a famous ChineseTV and movie actor. The two guests jointly delivered a vivid and interesting lecture for students of the CI at UB.
The two “celebrity teachers” mentioned that they were more nervous about being teachers than being stage or screen performers. After delivering the lectures themselves, they came to realize that it’s not an easy job to be competent overseas teachers of Chinese language. They regarded it as a meaningful job and firmly believed that: by helping foreign learners to master the tongue, the teaching staff will assuredly enjoy the sense of achievement. The whole process was reported and recorded by Shangdong Television Satellite Channel (SDTV), and will soon hit the domestic TV screen.
