On the evening of September 28, 2014, the foreign experts’ reception to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) was held at the Great Hall of the People. Liu Yun Shan, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee & member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Some CUPL foreign experts were invited to attend the gathering.
Around 1800 people were present at the reception, including senior foreign experts who have worked over a long period of time in China, foreign specialists of technology, economics, management, culture & education and their spouses, as well as heads of related departments of the CPC Central Committee, of China’s Central Government and of the Beijing Municipal Government.
