Recently, China Scholarship Council (CSC) released its annual admission list concerning “Government Sponsored Postgraduate Study-Abroad Program for the Construction of High-level Chinese Universities” and “Government Sponsored Study-Abroad Program for Master Degrees”. The number of students admitted to CUPL reached a new peak: with a total of 79 post-graduates being financially sponsored by CSC to further their studies overseas. Among them, 65 are admitted by Government Sponsored Postgraduate Study-Abroad Program for the Construction of High-level Chinese Universities, 38 are admitted as joint-cultivated doctoral degree candidates (including two joint-cultivated doctoral degree candidates under the scholarship exchange program between CUPL and respective European countries), 27 are admitted as doctoral degree candidates (including one student sponsored by the Japanese MEXT Scholarship); 14 are admitted by Government Sponsored Study-Abroad Program for Master Degrees (six of them as joint-cultivated master degree candidates a with the remaining eight being recent graduates admitted as master degree candidates).
