On the afternoon of February 24, 2014, Vice President Zhu Yong met with Mr. Klaus Jörg Meyer-Cabri, Director of the EU & International Legal Cooperation Department under the German Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection (BMJ), and his party.
Zhu Yong briefed our visitors on CUPL’s cooperation in the area of Sino-German law studies, especially the latest achievements made by our CESL and our Sino-German School of Law (Chinesisch—Deutsches Institut für Rechtswissenschaft) in the field of Jurisprudence, as well as the friendly cooperation in the field of legal studies and other research areas between Germany and our Faculty members and students.
Meyer-Cabri spoke highly of the collaboration between CUPL and Germany, provided information on the basic situation as well as the structural adjustment that has occurred within the Federal Ministry of Justice of Germany, and reviewed the friendly cooperation and development between China and Germany. He stated that Sino-German relationships in the field of law are closely linked, and expected that the two sides would continue working together to further current cooperation.
Afterwards, the two sides exchanged in-depth views on the issues of joint interest, including the program concerning the exchange of Chinese and German students to participate in internships, conducting cooperative research projects, etc.。
