On the afternoon of February 24, 2014, President Huang Jin met with Sir Jim McDonald, Principal and Vice Chancellor of University of Strathclyde, UK, Prof. Andrew Goudie, Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Anthony McGrew, Deputy Vice Chancellor and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences of the University, and their party.
Huang Jin started by introducing the basic situation of CUPL to our guests, and hoped that the two sides, starting with setting up cooperation in the field of Jurisprudence, would gradually expand friendly collaboration in multiple disciplines and at all levels in the not too distant future.
Sir Jim McDonald voiced his appreciation for the contributions that CUPL has made in the field of legal studies, political science research, etc., and expressed his confidence in opening up new areas for high quality and high level cooperation between the two institutions.
Afterwards, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation, and exchanged in-depth views on matters of common interest such as setting up teacher and student exchange programs, establishing joint training program for postgraduates, initiating legal skill training project, etc.
