On the afternoon of March 14, 2014, Vice-President Zhu Yong met with Ulrich Grothus, Deputy Secretary-General of German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst, DAAD), and Dr. Thomas Schmidt-Doerr, Director of the Beijing Branch Office of DAAD, at Xueyuan Lu Campus.
Zhu Yong first expressed his gratitude to DAAD for its strong support for the cooperation between CUPL and German universities over recent years. He then introduced the development and status of the talent training of Chinesisch-Deutsches Institut für Rechtswissenschaft (CDIR) on our campus.
Ulrich Grothus spoke highly of CDIR’s development and achievements in the past ten years. He pointed out that CDIR was a successful model of the cooperation between China and Germany, which played a significant role in advancing the sustainable cooperation and relationship between the two sides. DAAD would continue to fully support and subsidize the comprehensive and further collaboration with CUPL.
The two sides also exchanged in-depth views on other matters of common concern.
