On December 9, 2013, President Huang Jin met with visiting Prof. Ivano Dionigi, Rector of University of Bologna (UNIBO) in Italy, Prof. Marina Timoteo, the Foreign Director of the Confucius Institute at UNIBO, and Mrs. Simona Strochi, Head of the Rector’s office.
President Huang Jin firstly extended his warm welcome to the Rector and his visiting Delegation. He indicated that the two universities have fostered a long-term good cooperation. Many teachers and students greatly benefited from the exchange programs existing between the two sides, and ultimately returned to their homelands and taught in their resepective universities after completing their studies through the partner’s campus. Moreover, the scientific research cooperation between the two universities in the realm of jurisprudence has also yielded prolific and remarkable results. He expressed his wishes that the two sides could strengthen collaboration and exchanges in other areas, such as political science, sociology and so forth, and could make full use of the two schools’ advantageous resources in the future. Prof. Dionigi agreed with Huang Jin’s proposal, and expressed his concurring hope that more teachers and students from each university would participate in the exchanges and cooperation process. And likewise, he himself was willing to teach the Latin language and culture courses to CUPL students.
