On the afternoon of September 17, 2013, at Xueyuan Lu Campus, President Huang Jin met with Mr. Markus Handke, Head of Asia’s middle-income countries’ Affairs Department, a branch of Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East/Gulf and Pacific Directorate (DEVCO.H) under EU Commission Directorate General for Development and Cooperation (DG DEVCO), and an accompanying Mr. Matthias Reusing, First Secretary of Delegation of the European Union to China.
President Huang firstly provided an introduction describing recent events and current status of the China-EU School of Law (CESL), and its achievements in student cultivation, academic research, job training and other aspects in the 5 years since its inception. Mr. Handke stated that the EU would, as always, support CESL, and continue to maintain positive support towards its future development.
