The 64th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2013), co-organized by International Astronautical Federation (IAF), International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) and International Institute of Space Law (IISL), was held in Beijing from September 23 to 27, 2013. China's Vice President, Mr. Li Yuanchao, attended and addressed the opening ceremony.
Liao Minwen, an Associate Professor of CUPL’s International Law School, attended the IAC 2013 and took part in the 54th Symposia of Outer Space Law. She also delivered a speech on her paper titled “The Evolution from Policy to Law: the International Cooperation in the Peaceful Use of the Outer Space”, during the workshop of “The Legal Framework for Cooperation in Space Activities”, jointly hosted by IAF and IISL.
It was reported that nearly 100 scholars from around the world participated in the symposia of Outer Space Law. The contents of the report were vigorously discussed and exchanged between the reporter and the audience.
