On the morning of May 7, 2013, at the Xueyuan Lu Campus, President Huang Jin met with Mr. Alexander Bělohlávek, president of World Jurist Association (WJA), and Ms. Kim Quarles, the second vice president of WJA.
During the meeting, President Huang shared his recollection of the delightful experiences he had the two times he had the opportunity to participate in the Congress on the Law of the World organized by WJA. He introduced guests to the “2011 plan” (namely the Plan to Enhance Higher Education Innovation Ability), which is currently being advanced in China. He also shared the full English version of the Journal of Global Governance and International Law, which CUPL intends to publish in cooperation with Tulane University of U.S. and Oxford University Press in the future.
Soon afterwards, the two sides conducted in-depth talks and reached cooperation objectives on certain specific matters, such as co-publishing the planned Journal of Global Governance and International Law, jointly holding international conferences and inviting CUPL teacher and student delegates to participate in, sending CUPL students to the States and helping them do internship in the member units such as association and law firms, and other affairs the two sides sharing common interests.
