The Sino-German Agricultural Law Roundtable Conference was successfully held in Beijing on November 14 and 15. That meeting was co-hosted by the Civil, Commercial and Economic Law School of CUPL, Agricultural Law Institute affiliated with the Law School of Gottingen University (GU), Germany, and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
That meeting mainly focused on issues such as food safety control, food safety and agricultural legislation, and the Common Agricultural Policy and agricultural risks. On the afternoon of November 15, deputies of CUPL and GU held talks regarding the promotion of academic exchange and cooperation in agricultural law. The two parties drafted a series of tentative cooperative research projects on topics including multifunctional agriculture and agricultural law and agricultural law under international trade frameworks. In addition, the two sides reached a consensus on various forms of academic exchange, such as jointly holding large to medium scale agricultural law seminars, bilateral exchange visits, student exchange, data translation, etc.
