On the afternoon of September 24, 2012, at Xueyuan Lu Campus, Vice President Zhu Yong met with Professor José María de Dios Marcer, Dean of Law School, Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UBA); Marta Vilalta, International Department Director of UBA; and Ms. Chen Ke, Director of UAB Shanghai Office.
The two sides shared their views on areas of cooperation between the schools such as student exchanges, joint cultivation programs and the dual-tutor system for doctoral candidates, the translation of Chinese and Spanish legal compilations as well as their publication in each country, holding legal weeks on each other's campus, summer school programs, and internships for exchange and continuing education students, etc. After the talk, both sides agreed to sign two documents: a memorandum of understanding regarding contents of the meeting and an agreement on student exchange programs between the two universities.
