On the afternoon of October 19, 2012, Vice President Zhu Yong met with Jérme Cauro, Vice President of the Notaries' Council of Paris (la Chambre des notaires de Paris) at the CUPL Xueyuan Lu Campus. He was accompanied by the Chairman of the Beijing Notary Association.
The main purpose of Jérme Cauro's visit was to learn about CUPL's policy studies and teaching contexts on real estate law, and to discuss the possibility of a tripartite cooperation with CUPL and the Beijing Notary Association.
Zhu Yong introduced CUPL, especially the development of notary law education, to the delegation. Professor Fei Anling, Dean of CUPL’s School of Juris Master, and other faculty members had an in-depth exchange with the visitors on the following topics of common interest: the application of law to conflicts of private law, the role of notaries in such practices as investor qualification, urban planning, real estate construction and trading, and so on. At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to conduct further exchanges in the area of notary law, and to deepen the bilateral cooperation.
