Former Prime Minister of France Visits CUPL for Sino-French Research Centre for Public Law Opening Ceremony

On the morning of the 7th of Sep 2010, former French Prime Minister and Mayor of Bordeaux Alain Juppe and his delegation visited our university. He was accompanied by the members of the Bordeaux city government, staff members of Université Montesquieu-Bordeaux IV, and reporters from TV stations in France and Bordeaux. The ambassador of France, Hervé Ladsous also accompanied him on this visit.

Chancellor Huang Jin met with former President Alain Juppe and his delegation and with a round of warm applause, he accepted a Certificate of Honorary Professor from the Chancellor and formerly becoming an Honorary Professor of CUPL, wrote an inscription for the university.

After the presentation ceremony, Alain Juppe attended the opening ceremony for the Sino-French Research Centre for Public Law for the CUPL Law School and together with Chancellor Huang Jin, formally inaugurated the Research Centre. The ceremony was presided over by Zhu Yong.

Chancellor Huang Jin delivered a speech for the opening ceremony and Mr. Alain Juppe offered his congratulations for the establishment of the Research Centre. The Tenure Professor of CUPL, Director for the China quarters of the Sino-French Research Centre for Public Law professor Ying Songnian, the Honorary Chancellor of Université Montesquieu-Bordeaux IV, the Director for the French quarters of the Sino-French Research Centre for Public Law, Gao Desong etc. also delivered speeches in turn.
