On April 6, 2012, CUPL President Huang Jin met with Huang Jin met with European Human Rights Justice Dr. Elizabeth Steiner on the Xueyuan Lu (Graduate) Campus. Justice Steiner was accompanied by Professor Richard Trappl, Dean of the Confucius Institute at the University of Vienna. President Huang granted Justice Steiner a CUPL visiting professor appointment.
Following the meeting, Justice Steiner delivered a lecture to CUPL faculty and students titled, “The European Court of Human Rights—An Analysis of Recent Cases and the Reflection on Protection of Human Rights in China and in the EU”.
