On 7 December 2010 , South Korean Ambassador in China, Dr. Liu Youyi and his delegation were invited to our university in the Changping district as a guest of the 'Ambassador Forum.' Ambassador Liu Youyi was accompanied by his wife, Minister, Counselor Pu Junyong, and Lu Zhenghuan and other legal counselors.
The Chairman of the Uniersity Council Shi Yajun, warmly met Ambassador Liu Youyi and the two parties exchanged views on the educational cultural exchange between China and Korea as well as the matter of cooperation between our university and the universities and the higher educational institutes of the Republic of Korea and agreed to make join efforts on further promoting the development of the higher education sector between the two countries. The Vice Chairman of the Uniersity Council Hu Ming, dean of International Education Xuan Zengyi, Professor Wu Rihuan of Civil and Economic Law, deputy head of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department Li Guoqiang, attended the meeting.
After the talks, Ambassador Liu Youyi gave a speech on 'China and South Korea joining together to create a future road.' At the student activity center in Changping, Ambassador Liu Youyi affectionately looked back on the history of the development of the relationship between the two countries, vividly interpreted the origin of “Han River Miracle” and expressed his full confidence regarding the prospect of the development of a better future relationship between China and South Korea.
The students warmly welcomed Ambassador Liu Youyi's Speech, and they exchanged a lot of discussion on China-ROK relations, the Korean Peninsula, Northeast Asia and other political issues. After the speech, Ambassador Liu Youyi mingled with the students and shook their hands .
