At two o’clock in the afternoon of October 23(local time), 2017, Xu Feihong, Chinese Ambassador to Romania, was invited to deliver a lecture at the University of Bucharest (UB). The lecture marked the opening of the “Chinese Culture Week”, which is organized by the Confucius Institute at UB (CI at UB). On the same day, the week-long Chinese Photography Exhibition was also kicked off at UB. Mircea Dumitru, President of UB, Sorin Costreie, Vice President of UB, Prof. Luminita Balan, Romanian Co-Director of the CI at UB, and Prof. Dong Jingbo, Chinese Co-Director of the CI at UB, Mr. Deng Liming, Head of the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in Romania, and other guests participated in these events and delivered remarks.

This year’s “Chinese Culture Week” consisted of several events, including the Chinese Ambassador’s lecture, Chinese Photography Exhibition, Lecture on Chinese Law, Chinese Kung Fu and dance performances, Chinese Movie Night, tea ceremony, calligraphy show, etc. The splendid Chinese culture events attracted many participants.
